How to Build Your Team
Mary Kay Ash always said there is one new team member at every class. She developed the Four-Point Recruiting Plan when she first began holding skin care classes.
1. Before every skin care class, ask the hostess, Who is coming today who might be interested in doing what I do?
2. Present your heartfelt, enthusiastic I-story at every skin care class.
3. Select at least one or two people at every skin care class and offer them the Mary Kay opportunity.
4. Offer the hostess a special gift for any person she suggests who becomes an Independent Beauty Consultant.
Marketing During The Class — SO IMPORTANT!!
At EVERY Skin Care Class in the middle after skin care and before glamour….I do the $100 Bill Marketing Question.
Other fun games to be played during a class are the Left Right Marketing Game or Mrs. Cab Purse Game – please call me if you have questions how this game works. Mrs. CAB Game
At the end of class I close using the MK Opinion Poll Sheet but before I do the referral portion on the sheet I have have them write 1 – 5 on the back of their profile card and answer the following questions:
1. Am I paid what I am worth?
2. Can I give myself a promotion?
3. Can I take a day off without asking the boss?
4. Is my current career where I want to be in 5 years?
5. Do I have job security?
Say: If you answered no to any of those questions, you owe it to yourself to take a packet of information so you can make an educated business decision on whether Mary Kay is for you.
Closing Question after you have closed the sale and booked her follow-up appointment or party:

Send a reminder e-mail – whenever I do a facial or party, I always send every guest a follow-up e-mail that evening that says something like this: Dawn it was so nice meeting you tonight at Sarah’s party. I hope you had a good time and love your new skin care. I’m looking forward to being your beauty consultant. Thanks again for helping me by listening to Mary Kay’s Marketing Plan. I will give you a call Monday night at 9pm. I so appreciate and value your opinion.
